Precision Engineering Quality Control Management

Quality Control within any manufacturing organization begins with the right attitude and training being instilled into all members of staff.

All QC matters at A&B are the responsibility of all members of our team. From material inspection at goods inwards to the final dispatch. Full adherence to established QC procedures within our system are followed at all times, whether for First Article Inspection or volume production purposes.

This system assures A&B provide an unbroken component audit trail in line with the requirements of our approval to EN 9001:2015. The dedicated inspection department is comprehensively equipped in order to ensure the high levels of accuracy and finish demanded by our customers.

Equipment for maintaining quality are as follows;

  • Aberlink Axiom Too 900 CMM with a Renishaw PH10T/ TP20 fully automated probe head with automatic temperature compensation
  • Tesa Visio 300 optical measuring CMM
  • Aberlink Project X Vision CMM,
  • Tesa Height Gauges


  • Mitutoyo & Tesa digital measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers etc)
  • Thread, Plug, Snap, Wire and Custom Gauges
  • Plastiform Resins
  • 10 x Magnification Microscopes

All of the equipment that we require to achieve the absolute optimum accuracy applicable to each part.

Our inspection equipment is regularly calibrated and serviced to UKAS Standards by accredited specialists.
